In 2008, I had been watching Hubspot TV, and I wanted to play with the ideas that they were sharing. At the same time, Web 2.0 was all the rage.
As a strategist who also codes, I also wanted to fiddle with some of the fun and disruptive web technologies that were rapidly emerging at the time. So, I launched this site to fiddle around.
The site was a hobby, until I launched the Social Media Policy database, and the audience exploded. Of course, I added more and more content over time, and the site has been a tremendously surprising channel for me to meet thousands of enthusiastic practitioners around the world.
This site helped me to connect with a global audience of more than 1 million people. I stopped publishing to the site in 2016, to focus on other projects.
I am tremendously grateful for everything I experienced around Social Media Governance. It was a great ride.
